The Ownhome scheme is a really simple way of owning 100% of your new home.

Ownhome is part funded by the Government, and provided by a partnership between Places for People and The Co-Operative Bank. Places for People could provide you with an interest free loan for between 20% and 40% of the value of your new home. The interest free loan is available for five years, after which a fixed interest rate will apply.

Ownhome is aimed at first time buyers, keyworkers or anyone renting social housing with a household income of less than £60,000 per year. Once your loan is secured, you can then choose from a full range of mortgages from the Co-operative Bank to cover the remaining cost.
