Transport

Urban Base is ideally placed for commuters.  Nearby Prittlewell Station offers direct train services to London Liverpool Street with a journey time of approximately 1 hour. 

For those that drive the A127, A130 and M25 are all within easy reach. 

Southend also boasts its very own airport which is currently being upgraded with a brand-new terminal set to open in 2008.  Alternatively Stansted International Airport is approximately an hour away.

Health

As you would expect from an established town, there are many Doctors, Dentists and Opticians located in Southend.  The nearest surgeries to Urban Base are the Carnarvon Medical Centre or the Queensway Surgery.

The Southend University Hospital and BUPA Wellesley Hospital are both within a mile of Urban Base.

Leisure

As well as its famed 7 miles of beaches and the longest pleasure pier in the world, Southend also boasts a wide range of leisure facilities. 

For the active minded the area offers a variety of health clubs including Fitness First and David Lloyd. In addition there are various bowling, cricket, golf, tennis and sailing clubs all within easy reach.
For the less energetic there are a number of parks, commons and playing fields nearby offering the ideal setting for an ambient afternoon stroll. There are several cinemas and nightclubs in the area and the Cliffs Pavilion offers entertainment for all the family.

Alternatively, if you are a football fan, Southend United's ground is just under a mile away.
