Kirkcaldy has excellent shopping facilities in the town centre with a pedestrianised high street and Mercat Shopping Centre. Running parallel with the high street is Hunter Street with a treasure trove of specialists traders and services.

A large retail park is situated close to the development and there are 2 supermarkets nearby.

The town is well served with banks, building societies and a post office.

Schools

Both secondary and primary education is well catered for by  a number of schools and there is also a college of further education.

Transport

Chapelwood is approximately 1 mile from the A92 providing easy access to both the north and south.

Kirkcaldy has a direct rail service to Edinburgh, Aberdeen and London and is approximately 20 miles from Edinburgh Airport.

Kirkcaldy also has excellent bus services. The Fife coastal tourist route passes through the town and the surrounding villages.

Health

There is a local Health Centre nearby. Kirkcaldy has its own Victoria Hospital with A & E facilities approximately 1 mile from the development. There is also a maternity hospital located in the town.

Leisure

With a theatre and various sporting facilities, Kirkcaldy is a busy market town.

Kirkcaldy is situated on the coast with a pleasant beach. There are all the facilities you would expect in a large town including swimming pool, ice rink, art gallery, library, theatre, 2 golf courses and parks.

Nearby there is a golf practice range and a clay pigeon shooting range. The Fife coastal path also passes through the town.
