The village of Hawkinge offers a small range of shops, including a bakers, a chemist and a Tesco express located in Hawkinge high street. The town of Ashford is only 16 miles away with a large range of high street shops including Marks and Spencers, TK Maxx and boots. Ashford is also home to the McArthur Glen Designer outlet where theres something for everyone with a variety of fashion, shoe, jewellery, sportswear and beauty shops. Alternatively the town of Folkestone is only 3 miles away where there is a large Debenhams and also an outdoor market 3 times a week.

Transport

The area has excellent transport links being situated a mile or so from the M20 motorway, giving you great access to Kent, London and the South East. Canterbury and Dover are also within easy reach.
Three miles away in Folkestone the Gateway to the Continent you can travel by train to Calais in 30 minutes.
Folkstone also provides a diret mainline rail servise to London Charing Cross in around one and a half hours.

Hawkinge has a local Doctors surgery located on the Canterbury Road,  with the neareast hospital being The William Harvey Hospital Ashford, located just 14 miles from the village.

Leisure

Hawkinge is in a brilliant location for leisure facilities, the village itself is home to the Kent Battle of Britain Museum and close the Howletts Wildlife Park (near Folkestone). In the neighbouring town of Folkestone The Leas Cliff Hall can be found and in Canterbury The Marlowe Theatre, both places showing a variety of musical and theatre events. Canterbury, Folkestone and Ashrford are also home to a number of Golf clubs, Leisure centres, health and fitness clubs, cinemas and nightlife.
