The village has an excellent range of convenience stores whilst a Sainsbury's superstore is located just outside the village. Nearby Sevenoaks offers a more extensive shopping centre with many of the well known high street stores and an interesting selection of independently owned shops.

Otford primary school is conveniently located on the High Street whilst older children are well served by a range of secondary schools, both independent and state, in the area.

Otford has excellent road and rail links.

London Victoria is approximately 40 minutes by rail from Otford railway station.

In addition buses run regularly to and from the town of Sevenoaks.

Junction 5 of the M25 motorway is less than 5 miles away whilst junction 3 of the M25, and junction 1 of the M20 are approximately 6 miles distant.
