The area provides many amenities, from good leisure and shopping facilities to excellent entertainment venues.

Bracknell town centre offers a totally pedestrianised shopping centre with much undercover shopping around Charles Square, the Broadway and Princess Square.  Many of the main high street retailers can be found here.  There are also superstores located on teh fringes of the town and surrounding areas.

Hugely ambitious plans are underway for the redevelopment of Bracknell town centre to make it a better place for shoppers, visitors and retailers.

Schools

Bracknell Forest's schools have an excellent reputation with pupils attaining results higher than the national average.  Strong partnerships with industry ensure that local children and business are well equipped for the future.

There are six maintained schools conveniently located throughout the Borough.

Bracknell council boasts an Early Years and Childcare Partnership committed to raising the levels of skills, knowlege and qualification for all sectors of the early years education.

Transport

Bracknell, is approximately 40 miles west of London, in the heart of the hi-tech M4 corridor providing good road links.  Bracknell's neighbouring towns include Windsor, Maidenhead, Henley, Ascot, Wokingham, Sandhurst and Reading.

Bracknell has two railway stations: Bracknell and Martins Heron on the main line between London's Waterloo station and Reading, originally built by the London and South Western Railway and now operated by South West Trains.  As a consequence of the frequent service on this line, Bracknell is now a major commuter centre with its residents travelling in both directions (westwards to Reading and eastwards to London).

Health

The area has 11 surgeries within the town and several NHS hospitals, namely Edward Elgar House, Fitzwilliam House and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust Headquarters all within 2 miles.

Nearby Wokingham hospital is less than 10 miles away offering further facilities.

Leisure

There is a vast range of sport and leisure facilities to suit all tastes and ages.  A selection on offer includes Bracknell Sports and Leisure Centre where Guildford Heat Basketball Club play their home games or Esporta, the Royal County of Berkshire Club.

The town facilities also include, a leisure pool, Coral Reef Water Park, an ice rink where the Bracknell Bees Ice Hockey Club gather, a tenpin bowling alley, an Arts Centre, hands-on science at the The Look Out Discovery Centre and a multi-screen cinema and the Downshire Golf Complex.  In near by Binfield is the John Nike Bracknell Ski and Snowboard Centre.

Not to be forgotten are the Countryside Parks and recreational open spaces on offer.
