A couple living at George Wimpey’s Appleton Gardens development in Cheetham Hill have been so pleased with the price of their new home and their life at the development, that they’ve persuaded two friends to buy a house there too.
Maulik Shah and his wife Ankita moved into their 4 bedroom home at the development with their eight year old daughter Chahat at the end of last year, and have since received a cash reward from George Wimpey for recommending the outlet to their friends.
With George Wimpey’s Recommend a Friend scheme, when a buyer completes the purchase of their new home at the development and recommends a friend who also buys a new home, both parties receive £500!
The Shahs had previously been renting about half a mile away and were very keen to remain in the area. “We wanted to wait until the time was right to buy rather than take any risks,” said Mr Shah. “When house prices began to drop last year we decided to take advantage, and managed to save around £40,000!”
Mr Shah’s friends Dr Sheth and his wife Falguni were quick to come along to the development when they heard about it from Maulik, and they moved into a new 2 bedroom apartment in Appleton Gardens not long afterwards.
Dr Sheth said: “We’d been thinking of moving for some time and when the prices came down substantially last year, we decided the time was now right. It’s a great little development close to local shops with Smedley Fields across the road.”
Another friend of Maulik’s - Paras Shah – also decided to take advantage of the prices at Appleton Gardens and recently moved into a 2 bedroom apartment with his wife Monal and his four year old daughter, Khushi.
